Get Involved in Your Community

The Community Planning Group is the official voice of the neighborhood to the San Diego City Council. If you have ideas for how Normal Heights could be improved, we’d love to hear from you.

The Normal Heights Community Planning Group (NHCPG) is chartered by the City of San Diego to be the official community-elected group representing the Normal Heights planning area for land use policy and projects. We also serve the community as an avenue to the city and other resources for a wide range of issues – if we can’t solve it, we will find someone who can!

The Normal Heights planning area goes from El Cajon Boulevard to I-8, and from I-805 to SR-15.

We carry community concerns to City Council. Have an issue you’d like discussed? Attend a meeting and let us know.

Live, work, or play in Normal Heights? This is where local advocacy happens — everyone is welcome to attend.

Meetings are held at 6:00 PM on the first Tuesday of the month at the Normal Heights Community Center, south of Smitty’s on Adams Ave. Meetings may also be attended over Zoom
