The annual election of one half (up to eight) members of the Board will be held before the beginning of the regular NHCPG meeting. The regular meeting will begin after the election has concluded. Election results will be announced when counting is complete. AUDIO, CHAT, AND VIDEO MAY BE RECORDED

Eight Board positions are open for election. The announced candidates include Francis Prichett, Scott Kessler, Nancy Lawler, Greg Stone, and Rick Marin.

Write in candidates: Persons who are eligible to be candidates may declare as write in candidates before or at the time of election. Specific requirements for candidate eligibility may be found in the planning group bylaws ( To be eligible for election a candidate must have attended two full board meetings of the Normal Heights Community Planning Group between February 1, 2022 and January 31, 2023; and be eighteen years or older; a resident, property owner, or business/non-profit owner or operator within the boundaries of Normal Heights.

Requirements to vote: Must be present to voteNo previous attendance at a NHCPG meeting is required to be a voter however, a voter must qualify as a NH community member. A voter must be 18 years of age; and, a resident, or a property owner, or a business or non-profit owner or operator, located within the boundaries of Normal Heights. Voters may be asked to provide documentation to support their eligibility to vote under one of the categories listed above. Most commonly, this is accomplished by showing a current California Drivers License or ID card. Tree replacement: shall the NHCPG formally request that the city arborist replace trees when damaged/dead are removed at time of removal, and additionally request that the city review areas on the easement that lack trees and add them, and finally provide basic watering to the new trees until established during the dryer months – Gerald Schoelen

Join the Meeting at or up to 30 minutes before the Scheduled Time:
• Meeting participants will initially be admitted into the meeting “waiting room”. The Zoom Host will allow participants from there to the meeting itself.

• When you enter the meeting, all participants will be muted unless otherwise directed by the Chair. Leave your device muted during the meeting as this helps keep extraneous background sounds from interfering with the meeting. The meeting audio, video, and Chat may be recorded for use by the Secretary.

The “Chat” function is not monitored or controlled by the Chair. Comments and questions may be posted in Chat to “everyone” or to an individual, but Chat activity will not necessarily be addressed by the Chair and will not be included in the Minutes of the meeting.
