Public Comment
Frances – Community Art Event Announcement
Frances announced that her neighbor, a printmaker artist, is hosting an open house on August 15th and 16th. She distributed flyers with event details to interested attendees.
Brian – Intersection Improvement Update (35th and Arthur/East Mountain View)
Brian provided an update on the intersection improvement request originally submitted in September and October. After multiple follow-up emails, the city finally responded with the following message:
“Thank you for your patience. We have received multiple inquiries regarding this location from Council District 9 Office and the Normal Heights Community Planning Group. Our staff and supervisor are currently reviewing the request and evaluating the available information.
Once your review is complete, we will first coordinate with the Council District 9 representative before providing a response to the broader community. We appreciate your patience, we’ll provide an update as additional information becomes available.”
Brian noted that the city has been reviewing the request for 6 months. He thanked Kanoa (from the Council District 9 office) for her assistance in getting a response, though the community is still waiting for concrete action.
Brian – Get Well Card for Nancy
Brian suggested sending a get well card to Nancy. The board agreed this would be a thoughtful gesture.
