- Brian: Has not received an update from the City on the requested 35th & Mtn View four way stop.
Block-Your-Driveway Parking Discussion
In San Francisco a 2008 law allows people to black their own driveway without a permit if a car is registered to that address. Cops only enforce the law if a complaint is made. Hermosa Beach allows resident to pay a one-time fee to get permits to block your own driveway.
A pilot Normal Heights block-your-driveway parking program could be tested exclusively in a certain part of the neighborhood, for a specific time period (6-12 months), and enforcement could be monitored. This information could be used to decide if the program should be made available long-term.
Frances: has concerns about bad behavior by individuals who may block driveways without permits, and that enforcement will be limited or non-existent. Notes such behavior would block access by emergency vehicles.
Matthew: Any program should provide clarity on what costs to residents will be.
Julia: Requests that any funds earned from a parking permit program are directed toward infrastructure improvements in Normal Heights, specifically transportation infrastructure.

The Board is seeking a new secretary, as Julia will be leaving the board due to an academic conflict. A new seat will be available to elect in August, and seat in September.

- Letter requesting limited density specifically in the Southeast corner of Normal Heights (excluding El Cajon Blvd) was sent to the City.
- Jonathan Rivas: Areas that SB79 will affect have expanded to include the rapid transit stop at 35th St & El Cajon Blvd.

- Meter revenue information is publicly available online
- Caltrans was supposed to give $20 million to Ward Canyon Park improvements, but will now only contribute $2 million. Construction is expected to begin in 2027
- August 28 work party at Ward Canyon Park, to include painting and mulching.

- Block 3DD(NE corner) is at 90% design. Trenching is expected to begin in 2027.
